You must be rolling your eyes at another Gloria Maris post.
But we had three dishes this lunch that I never had in all my Gloria Maris meals before, thanks to my cousin Ryan who did the ordering.
I wanted to share them with you, but first, some GM staples that are oldies but goodies...
Prawns in Salted Egg
Pumpkin and Almond Seafood Soup - always a crowd pleaser
Peking Duck
(This was probably on Cohen or Paleo)
Peking Duck, Carved
Taro Seafood and Spinach
Crispy Chicken
And the three new dishes:
Beef and Golden Mushrooms in Satay Sauce
We never order beef at Gloria Maris because 5 out of 6 of our Fatterside aunties do not
eat the meat. This was so tender and the sauce was extremely tasty.
Deep Fried Fish
Again, we usually go for steamed fish so this was a revelation for me. The fish was fried
to a crisp outside, yet remained soft and moist inside.
Noodles
I've never had them with rubber band before! Lol! :D
Our server offered to change it but we figured the kitchen would just take out the rubber band anyway, so Ninang Adi decided to do it herself.
We're really not very fussy like that. Lol.
Check out my cousin Monica's serving skills! She's even better than the restaurant staff!
Nice plating, too! Thanks, Mon! :) I never like getting food for myself because I always end up
dropping morsels on the lazy susan, on the table, in my tea cup, etc, etc, etc.
I am not fussy, but I am definitely very clumsy.
Our sleepy, puffy morning faces. We were all up very early and spent 3 hours at the temple for our Lola's anniversary.
Desserts are always a delight.
Avocado Sago Cream
Ube Jelly
Matchy-matchy!
