Meiji Shrine ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

DSC1674

Meiji Shrine is my second most favorite place in Tokyo.
First is Shinjuku Isetan's depachika, and third is The Peninsula Tokyo.

I always make sure to visit the shrine whenever I come to the city. I enjoy the long stroll
along the boulevard of trees, crossing the bridges, seeing lovers, families, newlyweds,
travelers, and people like me who just soak in the magic of simply being present in this
truly blessed place.

I have probably over a hundred photos of this wall of sake barrels. It never gets old.

The place I love most in the complex is under this camphor tree

Where people hang their prayers and wishes they lovingly wrote on wooden tablets

I stayed here for hours and hours reading through people's most honest thoughts and pleas

They were written in different languages by people from different countries and different
walks of life… But they all shared the same theme.

Love and gratitude.

May we all find the love we need, and deserve, in the hearts of the people who we love ourselves.
With hope, may we receive that love unfiltered, unadorned, and with all the energy from which
it came. I hope we find it someday.

After all, what is life without love.
"Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead."
- Oscar Wilde

"Love isn't something you find. Love is something that finds you." - Loretta Young

And when love has found you, you cherish it.

Because when you have love, you have the universe in your heart.

I wish to be as free as this person one day.
