Kyo Hayashiya ♥ ♥ ♥

After my disappointing experience at Patisserie Sadaharu Aoki (see post here), I went to have a second matcha dessert.

After all, I was in Japan, The Land of Matcha. It is no place for bad matcha memories. They needed to be deleted.

So I walked 8 steps from the Japanese-French patisserie to Kyo Hayashiya next door

It is most popular for its warabi mochi and soft serve ice cream

There is always a wait to get into the cafe

If you are an impatient matcha lover like me, do not fret! There is a take-out counter right
beside the shop.

Mmmmmmmmmatcha Soft Serve
Like pure matcha powder mixed with sweet milk and then frozen. Very nice.
The wafer was so crisp and flaky, too!

Warabi Mochi

The jelly-like mochi was so intense in matcha flavor! Wow. I drizzled it with a little
black sugar syrup and sprinkled some matcha powder on top. WOW.

Excited, I emptied all the matcha powder into the tray. I strongly suggest you do the same.
