Cafe Use ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

DSC1283

Cafe Use has signs all over its storefront that says "no children," "no smoking," "no cellphone,"
"no espresso," and "no cappuccino"

Whew. Good thing I am a single, non-smoking, low-batt-cellphone owner
who did not feel like having espresso nor cappuccino at that time.

I wanted a good cup of pour-over coffee made from beans roasted in small batches
using this candy red Diedrich roasting machine

I noticed the owners have a thing for cats and vintage camping lanterns

The bar. And the owner's wife signaling me to not include her in the photo. Oops.

More seating inside

Nooks

There is something very calming about the succulents and green coffee cups

I love the chunky wooden menu but couldn't understand a thing.
The owner recommended I get the house blend.

That is him, Atsushi Furuichi, brewing my cup. He uses 40 grams of coffee to produce
an 8-ounce cup, and the whole pouring process takes, at the very least, 3 minutes.

My Cafe Use house blend served in a Fire King Jade-ite cup.
What a treat!

On my way out, I bought some beans to bring home

It came with a small packet of grinds for reference on the ideal fineness/coarseness
specific for this blend

And handwritten instructions complete with illustrations on
how to brew the perfect cup.

So precious.
