Inside Pink Panda...
… is a pair of pink flamingos! Har har har. :P
Pink Panda is the newest baby of Erwan Heussaff. It serves a modern interpretation of South East Asian cuisine.
Expect a lot of sweet, tangy, crunchy, sweet and crunchy.
We were a big group with big appetites so we ordered multiple servings of the dishes and
drinks below
Pink Panty
Kopi Panda - love!
Wild Vietnamese Spring Rolls - these rice paper rolls filled with mushrooms, pork, shrimps
and pickled jicama were quite tasty. I liked the non-fried version more.
Mango and Papaya Catfish Salad - it was so beautifully presented nobody dared touch it. Lol.
We were all trying to figure out how to mix and toss.
Finally, we asked the server for an extra plate. This is what was left for me after I finished
taking photos of all the other dishes. It was a little party in my mouth.
Crispy Squid - covered in dark caramel and sprinkled with sesame seeds, these sweet and
crunchy deep fried baby squids were a hit
Pork Pockets - could be quite exciting with the contrasting textures - crunchy pork on
soft buns - but the pork belly was covered in the same sweet sauce as the squid.
Therefore, it tasted like the squid!
General P's Chicken - another sweet and crunchy dish that tasted like the squid
AND the pork belly. Lol!
Rack of Bones - pork spareribs in tamarind barbecue sauce
Salted Egg Prawns - my favorite of the night. Make sure you eat the prawns whole so you
get to enjoy the delicious cholesterol coating. It's worth the heart attack. Don't forget to
spit out the shell.
Fad Thai
Panda Rice
Oooh, a bicycle!
Couldn't resist doing this. Jin loves to exercise, too!
HAR HAR HAR.
Pink Panda is still on soft opening and serves only fruits for dessert. ACK!!!!!!!!!!!
I suggest you go after February 8 when full menu is out. :)
