Opus, Revisited ♥ ♥

I love a restaurant that bottles its own water.
The clear liquid is, after all, my favorite drink in the world.

Truffle butter!!!
Naturally, the dairy product on the right was left untouched. :P

Mushrooms Go Pink - a salad of braised organic oyster mushrooms with beetroot,
goat cheese, horseradish and smoked salmon dust

My date (I forgot his name already) ordered the Roasted Chilean Sea Bass on buckwheat
noodles, miso braised daikon and shiitake bonito broth. I would have remembered his name
if he had ordered steak, AND if he didn't ask to split a salad for appetizer! Lol! :P

I had The Opus Burger. Half-pound truffle-infused patty, seared foie gras, cambozola cheese,
caramelized onions in a homemade brioche bun. And a side of fries. I also ate with my hands.

Could have been a great burger, except my medium rare patty was terribly overcooked

I ordered a new dessert to try. The Dali, a chocolate, bacon and hazelnut cigar
with dry caramel. It didn't do anything for my chocolate-loving palate.

My favorite dessert at Opus is the Matisse, a dark chocolate fondant topped with salted caramel
ice cream and sitting on malt foam. I suggested he order it in hopes that he would offer to let
me have some. I was wrong. The only offer I got was to take a photo of it.

Of course I said no to a second date. Lol.
