Been a while since I was last at Cirkulo. I missed this place and was glad Ylaine chose
the venue for Shirley's welcome home dinner.
Ylaine also did all the ordering, so I just had to sit down, take pictures and start eating everything. This was also just 20 minutes after my earlier dinner at Cafe France Catering Launch.
I think Ylaine secretly wanted to kill one of us or all of us. Look at the food she ordered!
Roasted Bone Marrow and Beef Mole Asado
I piled them on top of the toasted brioche and sprinkled some sea salt on it.
What a great way to get my daily dose of iron and collagen! :P
Espinacas - baby spinach, tomato concasse, crisp pork cracklings, sherry vinaigrette.
Salad with chicharon! What genius! Life is all about balance, after all.
Wagyu Beef Ribs - roasted Snake River Farms wagyu beef ribs, pimenton dela vera, mustard
gremolata. Rich, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Ylaine just killed me with love.
Paella Montana - portobello mushrooms, whole roasted garlic, asparagus, truffle oil.
Still my favorite paella at Cirkulo.
The healthier dishes were not as stellar.
Sepia a la Placha - grilled fresh cuttlefish seasoned simply with olive oil and sea salt

I am ashamed to admit I ate the most of the Baked Brie in Puff Pastry
Stuffed with dried figs, apricots, cranberries, caramel and walnuts, it was quite addicting.
I stopped only because I was saving space for more desserts from Milky Way...
Guinumis - sago, gulaman, pinipig, gata, topped with pauncha ice cream,
the perfect end to a good Spanish meal! :P
And this Halo-Halo was the perfect end to that perfect guinumis ending!
