Just before Christmas, we had dinner at Spiral to welcome Uncle Pat and Auntie Vangie
who were visiting from the States
We arrived before the whole Metro Manila. This was at 6:30pm. All tables were reserved.
So they put us in the function room. It was actually very nice!
Spiral boasts 21 dining ateliers, etc, etc, etc (you can read all that in my previous post here)
Bread Station
Sashimi Station
Salad Station
Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Italian, Filipino, Roast Beef… You name it, they have it!
But I was interested only in one station
The Cheese Room at Spiral is HEAVEN!!!
The cured meats were like angels floating around in the sky
Ham and jam
Pates and terrines
Okay, I was interested in TWO stations. The Cheese Room and this chocolate paradise!
Thank you for tipping me about these truffles, Leslie! I had 3 of them even before I reached our
table. The staff showing us to the function room had to stop a few times to wait for me. Lol!
My favorite was the broken dark chocolate bars studded with macadamia and pistachio.
I also popped a few pieces of this into my mouth en route to our table.
More treasures!!!
Dark and milk
The dessert spread was equally stunning
Even the pastry chef had to take photos :P
My plates:
(Told you I didn't venture outside the cheese and dessert stations.)
Cheeses and fruits
Meats and olives
Pates and terrines, some ham, dried fruits, and a piece of sundried tomato bread
Two pieces of foie gras beef shortrib tartlets
Bibingka
And more chocolates! ♥ ♥ ♥
MMMMMMMMMMMMMM…..
Frances, the corny one, had lemon basil sorbet
And Mom had all the stuff you shouldn't bother with in a buffet - pineapple,
puto bumbong, cassava cake, suman, kutchinta, rye bread, and...
wait a minute… is that a pack of muscovado sugar??? OMG!!! Hahaha!
FYI, this was her first plate!!!
Welcome back, Uncle Patrick and Auntie Vangie!!!
