Because of its location, Estudio Iberico Tapas Bar is the perfect place to grab a quick bite
before or after or in the middle of your grocery shopping. It is located inside my favorite
supermarket inside my favorite mall in Hong Kong.
But maybe because I am spoiled rotten with too many good Spanish restaurants in Manila, the food at Estudio failed to impress me.
Didn't help that service was forgetful and a bit confused.
The tapas were, well, tapas-sized, but we had a hard time finishing the little amount of food. Help!
Except for the gambas which was succulent, garlicky and the perfect level of spicy, everything else needed oomph.
Garlic fried tiger prawns
Piquillo peppers stuffed with tuna and manchego cheese
Beef meatballs with porcini mushroom sauce
Scrambled eggs with black sausage from Burgos and piquillo
5J jamon and bechamel croquettes
Squid stuffed with its own tentacles cooked in white wine and its own ink
Thankfully, the Fig Cheesecake was quite delightful
My Sangria finally came just as we were about to ask for the bill.
I wish we went to Triple O's for burgers and milkshakes.
