Our first stop when we arrived Hong Kong this trip was the Continental Club Lounge at Gateway.
Fyi, Marco Polo Gateway is now simply called "Gateway" to avoid confusion with the two other
Marco Polo hotels within the Harbour City complex.
We were all booked on the club floor so check-in procedures were done at the lounge.
It was easy breezy.
I forgot to take photos of our suite, but didn't forget to take photos of the newly renovated lounge.
I am inspired only where there is food. See photos of the old lounge here.
Our suites included daily complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and all-day
coffee and tea. We never woke up early enough to have a proper breakfast, and we were
out most day everyday for proper afternoon tea and cocktails.
But I passed by the lounge everyday for coffee and bottles of water, and occasionally,
slices of truffle cheese, if available.
This was the afternoon tea spread the day we arrived.
There were also little tarts, dimsum, etc. etc. etc.
I only had a walnut cookie and a beef pastrami sandwich because we were going to snack at Cafe Deadend and Sinmei Tea before our early dinner at Ronin.
Lol.
Make sure to say hi to Rosalina. She's also from the Philippines! :)
