We are all matcha addicts. And that is what brought us to Sinmei Tea.
Fortunately, the East meets West design of the shop with beautiful Chinese antique furnitures and sudden pops of white (coffee table) and fuchsia (armchairs) garnered our major seal of approval...
Because we could not say the same for our matcha drinks.
The green tea flavor was so light we could see the green but could not taste it.
Okay, fine, I was exaggerating. But we tasted only the softest whisper of green.
Drinks menu
Matcha Genmaicha Marone - green tea powder, soya milk, roasted rice
and chestnut
Matcha Soul - green tea powder, soya milk, honey, almond, sultanas,
and sweet osmanthus flowers
Matcha Classic - Japanese tea ceremony, made with premium matcha powder
Now if you REALLY must, I suggest you order the Chai Chai.
The marriage between green tea and Kenya chai spices was surprisingly good.
We waited 30 minutes for the Matcha Lava Cake. Again, an excellent concept that sorta failed
in execution. I wish the cake and the lava had more matcha taste. Or please just give me a
scoop of Haagen Dazs green tea ice cream to go with it! Thank you very match-a! Lol! :P
