Hatch 22 Cafe & Bakery ♥

It was Kim's birthday and she let me decide where I wanted to eat. I am happy my brother is marrying a girl who knows how to please her evil sister-in-law-to-be. Mwahahahaha!!!!!!!

Kim texted me: Sure, Achi Jin! Do you think Erwan Heussaff will be there? Because that would really make my birthday!!! :)))

I replied (feeling thisclose to Erwan): I don't think so, he's in Cambodia with his GIRLFRIEND.

Told you I'm evil. Hahahaha! :D

It was one of those very rare nights we didn't feel like sharing food so there will be no
comments on the dishes except for the one I ordered for myself

We had Hot Chocolate to start :)

Benjie had Hang Over Clams - steamed Manila clams in ginger beer, leeks and tomatoes,
served with buttered Tuscan toast

Dad and Kim each had the Lobster Old Bayounaisse - catch of the day slippery lobster,
potato salad with creole mayonnaise, and butter-blackened toast

JR had Tapsilog 2.0 - marinated beef sirloin, garlic tapa rice, crunchy egg,
roasted tomatoes and pickled vegetables

Mom had Trio of Longaniza - Lucban, Vigan and Cebu local sausages with extreme garlic rice,
crunchy egg (which she requested to change to a regular sunny side up because she can be
boring like that), and spiced honey vinegar

Jamie had the Slumdog Millionnaire - lobster and shrimp frittata, pineapple and peppers,
red coconut curry, poppadum crisps and grilled naan bread

I had the Cassoulet - slow-cooked casserole with pork hock, sausage, smoked bacon,
roast chicken, white beans and warm toasts. They forgot to say "and A LOT of potato!" :P

We skipped dessert because we had 2 cakes to finish.

I will be back for the Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes and Jelly Doughnut Pancakes. I love carbs!!!
