Balay Indang ♥ ♥

After lunch at Sonya's Garden (see post here), Frances' 30th birthday celebration continued at our home for the night.

Balay Indang in Indang, Cavite is a bed and breakfast nestled in a huge, lush garden.
Everywhere you look, you see greens, calmness, beauty, serenity.

Everyone wanted to get on this rocking pony. Not all were successful, including myself.

I love the mismatched door handles

The theme is very Balinese with a touch of Filipino

I thought there was too much going on, but I guess it added to the overall charm of the house

Sotanghon and buttered toast for merienda.
An overnight stay at Balay Indang comes with breakfast, lunch, merienda and dinner.
Because we had lunch out on both days, we availed only of breakfast, snack and din din.

The Fatterside occupied 10 rooms. I took photos of 3.

The rooms were very basic but clean.  We brought our own toiletries, towels, hairdryers, speakers, and yes, we also brought our own extension cords.

The Eve Room is located on the second floor of the main house

The Luke Room is a loft unit good for 3-5 people. You need to go down/climb up a flight of stairs
to get to the room from the main house.

The loft comes with a single bed under the stairs

I adored my plate and looked for the same one during breakfast the next morning :)

Dinner at Balay Indang was nothing fancy, but it was home-cooked food done rather well.

Tagaytay greens. I guess Sonya's Garden's Secret Dressing is not so secret anymore. :P

The only thing I didn't like was the Chicken Noodle Soup which had too much cornstarch.
The oldies enjoyed it though, said it brought back childhood memories.

As always, we had wines from Artisan Cellars and Fine Foods care of my BIL.

Jamie labeled them with her birthday wishes for Frances.
Obviously, all Frances thinks about is boys and lovelife. Lol! :P
(Someone's gonna kill me after this post)

Dessert was a very forgettable chocolate fondue with marshmallows and fruits

DSC00856

But no worries because we brought cakes for the birthday girl.
Left to right: Goldilocks Ube and Cheese Cake, Nikko's homemade Lavender Cheesecake,
and Fairmont Makati's Matcha Sesame Cake

Happy Birthday, Frances!!! See, so many people love you, no need for love life!
Still, I pray that your husband wishes come true very soon.
(Seriously, I'm dead meat after this post.)
