Wooden Spoon in Rockwell is always, always full. And just recently, I discovered why.
Food is very reasonably priced and so delicious!
And what is Wooden Spoon without wooden spoon chandelier? :)
We were a big group with big appetite so we ordered 2-3 servings of every dish.
Sinigang Lamandagat
Bicol Express
Binagoongan
Kare-Kare
Tostadong Adobo
Crab Pancit
Tortang Talong - this you can skip
My absolute favorites were:
Red and Century Egg Salad with Peanuts
Dinakdak na Lechon
Dinuguan na Bagnet
Sigarilyas at Daing
Fiesta Rice
Although food was very good, service left very much to be desired.
It was late but not yet closing, but our waiter was in a hurry to rid of us. Like when I ordered the talong, he was hesitant and told me the eggplant takes very long to cook.
I said I will wait.
I also placed our dessert orders in advance only to be told when I asked for the sweets that the kitchen had closed. GRRRRRRRR. @#$%^&#%!!!!!!
Good thing Frances bought this Dirty Harry by Miss Matamis from the Baker's Dozen.
The whole chocolate-caramel loaf was gone in seconds.
Buti pa this other waiter, he was happy to be of service and even climbed up the table
to take our group photo
Love spontaneous Sunday dinners with the Fatterside ♥
