I loved it so much I made sure to squeeze my way back into L'Avant Comptoir on my last night in Paris.
Read about my first time here. It was delicious.
Oh but I will miss the casual, energetic vibe of this tiny tapas bar
With its menu hanging from the ceiling
And its wine list with a 3D image of a pig. It was actually flat.
After a few glasses though, I swear the porker was hitting on me! LOL!
Matthieu Lapierre Morgon 2011
Foie gras and roasted peppers
Croquette de pied de cochon
Inside the crunchy shell were super tender and gelatinous chunks of pork
Carpaccio of veal with parmesan and olive oil
A German guy passed me this prosciutto on toast. Of course I said yes.
I gave him my half-empty veal carpaccio board.
Jean-Baptise Senat Minervois La Nine 2010
My favorite of all was the Macaron de Boudin Noir Bearnais
Blood sausage terrine sandwiched between macaron shells. The sweet and savory created
orgasmic sensations inside my mouth… and all over my body. Rawr.
Even the complimentary cheese bread was fantastic
Heck, I'll even miss eating while standing up, even when my legs are
threatening to collapse under my weight after walking all of Paris all day.
BUT I'll do it again. And again. And again. And again.
I'll be back for that bright pink soup. I can just imagine how happy it tastes.
And crepes! I love crepes!!!
