For Auntie Babie's birthday (see post here), the ladies were asked to come in florals.
That morning, Mom came to my room looking problematic.
She asked me in a mix of Chinese and Tagalog, "Can I wear this blouse to dinner? Ano ba yung drawing? Flowers or beans?"
Beans, Mom, Beans!!!
