I am very happy the Department of Agriculture does so much to support our local farmers and
growers of natural and organic products. With so many health-related problems today, it is
important that we take care of our bodies, starting with the food we eat. (Shut up! I'm serious!!!)
Now we don't have to search all over for these products. They are readily available at PICC
Forum 1 until Saturday, October 19.
What made me even happier was knowing that two of my favorite chefs were doing a cooking demo, using all-natural and organic products available onsite.
Chef Margarita Fores of Cibo, Lusso and Grace Park
Chef Robby Goco of Cyma and Green Pastures
The chefs in their elements
You can see that they were having fun!
They had so little time to prepare and shop for ingredients from over 80 exhibitors but each chef was able to cook up 5-6 dishes!
Here were some of Gaita's creations:
Frittata
Pasta with kulitis and basil pesto topped with pili nuts
Fried peanuts
Gouda cheese from Misamis Oriental
Chef Robby's spread:
Bruschetta
Cheesy kale
Pinoy Salad with fiddlehead fern, salted egg, cherry tomatoes dressed in Lucban
longganisa vinaigrette
Bread salad
I was just there to eat. :)
With Department of Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala, Usec Berna Romulo-Puyat,

Guys, you can go all-out there. They're all healthy, I promise.
