My cousins Florence and Felisse are off to Beijing for a year of studies. At least that's what they made their parents believe. HA!
But whatever.
We were just thankful for another family eat-together. Our excuse now: Despedida. :P
XO 46 seemed like the perfect place. The kiddos will miss Filipino food.
For this occasion, we came dressed in complete traditional Filipino garb.
JUST KIDDING!!! These are XO46 staff who called us Señor and Señorita!
The Visayan Room before Fatterside
The Visayan Room after Fatterside. Naging Chinatown. Lol!
Complimentary appetizer of Puto and Mantekilya. Too wet they stuck to the back of my teeth.
Cornick
Dulong at Galletas
Empanadang Bilbao - ACK!!! So very oily!
Ginisang Monggo at Tinapa - a tad too salty but still quite delicious
Ginataang Langka - my favorite dish of the night
Cebu Lechon Belly - the garlic and herbs overpowered the taste of the pork
Dumaguete Express - seafood in coconut milk
Sinugbang Manok - matuyo at matigas
Inun-Un - bangus belly paksiw
Garlic Rice
All three desserts we had were rather disappointing.
Sounded good in concept, but failed miserably in execution.
Champorado Eh
Mala-Ubeng Panaginip
Sapin Sapin
My favorite was the free ChocNut
Everyone was asked to come in green and yellow, Florence and Felisse's favorite colors
Try not to miss us too much, okay? :D
