Let me just get this out of the way: I am biased towards Sunning Restaurant.
There I said it.
Our family has been coming here for years since the days of our grandparents and no trip to Hong Kong is ever complete without having our escargot and chicken mancini fix. (Read my more detailed post here.)
It's like your favorite 10-year old hole-infested duster or Mom's Nokia 1200 or eating rice with fried egg and ketchup… you just never ever grow tired of these things.
A meal at Sunning always starts with carbs

One dozen escargots on mashed potatoes

In case you are wondering, this is how we roll:
one dozen snails (or more) per person!
Potage Campardore - nothing could be more comforting than this rich and creamy
puff pastry covered soup
Prime Rib - I daresay one of the best in town, or at least much, much better than Lawry's
Chicken Mancini - chicken, mushrooms, bacon, fettuccine with lots and lots of melted cheese!
Baked Scallops and Bacon with Rice - another winner!
Stewed Oxtail Au Port - fall-off-the-bone tender, really!
Beef Stroganoff - this tasted like ketchup and cream. Lol! :D
