And we were back at Ahia Emil's favorite restaurant in Hong Kong for our first meal this trip
Shanghai Min in Times Square (See my previous post on it here)
You know why I love these chandeliers :)
Fresh OJ
Free peanuts
Shredded Chicken, Clear Noodles, Sesame Dressing - so simple yet so delicious
You gotta mix it with some attitude
Throw in the peanuts for some crunch
Straw-Tied Pork Belly with Steamed Buns - the belly "gifts" were tender but lacking in flavor.
I wish this dish tasted more exciting than its English name. :P
Wok Fried Egg and Hairy Crab Cream with Sesame Puffs.
Crab creammmmmmmmm...
Wok Fried Minced Pork and Vegetables with Sesame Puffs
Stuff if, Baby!
Signature Noodles with Dried Shrimp and Scallion Oil
Even with vinegar, this was too oily for me.
Noodles with Hairy Crab Cream. Enough said.
Secret Soup ;)
And the highlight of our meal was the Braised Whole Abalone in Oyster Sauce
It tasted like scallops on steroids with the texture of beautifully cooked soft but chewy calamari.
Easily my favorite dish at Shanghai Min.
Everyone got a piece so there was no fighting!
ACK!!!! FRUITS!!!! They haunt me EVERYWHERE!!!
