I had lunch at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon on my birthday
Bar seats gave me a perfect view of the kitchen
And the red bar stools made me feel like my whole family was there. Lol! :P
But it was just me and Joel
My fresh grapefruit juice
Joel presented me with the loveliest bouquet in the world. He understood that I didn't care for
flowers as much as I cared for carbs. I ate all kinds, 8 in total. And every piece was fantastic.
I would have eaten all if there was an extra 5 minutes before the amuse bouche was served.
Amuse Bouche
Crispy waffle topped with prosciutto foam, lettuce cappuccino
Le Jamon de Bouef Wagyu
Air dried wagyu beef ham with bruccio goat cheese, peach, bell pepper confit, crispy focaccia
Le Melon
Cavaillon melon with granita of "Muscat de Beaumes de Venise," rocket leaves, Sarawak pepper
Le Chou-Fleur
Fine cauliflower cream with a soft-boiled egg, Iberico ham and croutons
La Girolle
Girolle mushroom broth, mushroom "royal" with parsley, almond nougats. FTW!!!
La Joue de Veau
Red miso braised veal cheek with summer vegetables and polenta
Look how tender. No need for knives!
La Rable de Lapin
Rolled saddles of rabbit with herbs, cannelloni with button mushrooms and French green bean.
I thought the rabbit was a bit mushy.
THE BEST MASHED POTATO IN THE UNIVERSE
La Peche
Refreshing peach jelly and verbena scented peach compote, honey ice cream
La Banane
Smooth banana cream with caramel chips and coconut sorbet.
Too sweet even for me, the sweetest sweet tooth in the world.
Petit fours
Nothing like a cup of good and strong coffee to complete my day.
Robuchon served this with homemade caramel sauce and cream.

I wasn't able to reply all because, obviously, I was very busy stuffing my face.
Just look at those CHEEKS!!! LOL!!! :D
Because of you, my birthday was as happy as these bell peppers! :)
