The Grand Hyatt Steakhouse is a dark and sexy place with leather seats, rich paintings,
marble statues, and dark wood furnitures.
Yoohoo? Dracula? Are you home?
Its Salad Bar was an attraction in itself, but I veered away from it because my purpose
for coming was to eat a heavy steak dinner
But I could not AND DID NOT want to resist these warm and crisp garlic bread.
It was torture to stop myself after the second piece.
Fresh Oysters, Horseradish, Mignonette - so fresh, briny and creamy
Seared Maryland Crab Cakes - these were the real deal, generous with big chunks of
crab meat and almost no extenders
Domaine Serene Yamhill Cuvee Pinot Noir 2008
After the healthy starters (see, no foie gras!), we were more than ready for our steaks!
USDA Prime Nebraska Ribeye 20 oz
Medium rare and with enough bite to keep your jaws working, but happy.
Good but I've had better elsewhere.
Mustard buffet
Japanese Wagyu Striploin 8 oz
This just melted in my mouth. The marbling was amazing and the flavors so rich that
even I, The Fatty Beef Monster, could not finish more than five slices.
Okay, six.
Creamed Spinach
Sauteed Seasonal Mushrooms
Shoestring Fries
Duck Fat Fries
Washington Apple Crumble with Vanilla Soft Ice Cream - hot and cold, sweet and sweeter :)
Chocolate Mud Pie - dark and decadent
Oh, and there he is, Chef Patrick Shimada!
(Not Dracula!) :P
