No. We did not go to Ayala Triangle Gardens to exercise like these people.
We came for another kind of exercise which involves jaw and stomach muscles
Kanin Club doesn't take reservations and we had to wait one hour for a table on a Friday night.
(So yeah, we kinda worked our leg muscles, too!)
Don't be put off. I promise you it's worth the wait. Monica and I had pre-dinner drinks at Poco Deli.
I loved this purple lamp.
Makati and its no plastic (including straw) policy
I hate to exaggerate, but everything we ordered was delicious! I was so happy with dinner I promised to come exercise at Kanin Club more often.
Thai Green Mango Salad - perfect for whetting the appetite
Crispy Liempo - who doesn't like deep fried bacon strips?
Sinigang na Salmon Belly - more sour than other sinigangs out there and that's why I loved it.
The soup did a great job cutting through the fattiness of the belly.
Crispy Dinuguan - like my friend Cyrene said, "it is literally chicharon covered in dinuguan sauce."
Thank God for thick and velvety chocolate brown porcine blood, I was spared from seeing all the
soft and crunchy lardaceous bits I had consumed. And boy, did I consume a lot! Auntie Judy and
May gave me the rights to their shares. Seriously, stuff this addictive should be made illegal.
ItSi BitSi - It's Sitaw, Bitsuelas and Sigarilyas sautéed with beef
Sinangag na Sinigang - enjoyed immensely the sinigang-inspired rice, but didn't care much
for the fatty pork and vegetable tempura
My gym mates. We're hardcore, I tell you.
