Chiz suggested Grace Park for dinner.
I thought it was ready for a third try and I was actually pretty excited to go back. (See my previous meals here and here.)
Let me just start by saying I really like Grace Park's interiors. The mismatched chairs,
tall and short, fat and sexy drinking glasses in different colors, the distressed tables...
I like the place more and more each visit.
The food I also liked more this visit. Not more and more.
Just more.
There were hits, there were misses, most of the dishes were just oh-kay.
Tormaresca Chardonnay 2012
Cauliflower Clam Chowder - Achi Donna said this was a bit lacking in flavor
Mushroom Field, Asiago Cream - ACKKK! Still as oily as ever!!!
Sardine Spread - my favorite dish at Grace Park
Squid Ink Fettuccine with Lemon Cream, Salmon Roe and Scallions - very, very subtle in taste
Squash Ribbons, Pistachios, Goat Cheese - same comment as before (read it here)
Chicken Parmigiana - tasty but nothing exciting
OMG Burger
(My share. The other half was with Jeff)
We asked for medium rare but the patty came out medium well
The bun was also dry and stale :(
My favorite off-menu item was the Leg of Baby Lamb. Each piece of meat was tender, gamey,
and packed a lot of flavor. I wiped out 90% of this platter all by myself!
The desserts, save for the Key Lime Pie, were all delicious.
Key Lime Pie - could use A LOT more tang
Golden Cassava
Lusso's Pecan Tart
Eton Mess - love at first bite ♥
Pastillas Choco Lava - so good we ordered two of this!
Happy Happy Birthday, Idol!!! Thank you for dinner! :)
And Jeff is my idol because of this:
I wish to be as sexy as him! #dreamtheimpossibledream
