Back again at my favorite Japanese restaurant in Taipei.
A trip to my hometown is never complete without a meal here. Mitsui is fabulous every single time.
As usual we had the Omakase, letting the chef surprise us with what he's got for the day.
Our waitress (she was a bit shy) took note of our meal preferences, allergies, etc. etc.
I made it real easy for her. I eat everything and in undeniably large quantities.
BRING. IT. ON, I said! :P
Appetizer of fish skin and baby octopus
The freshest sashimi
I love sweet shrimp head juices. The cousins gave me theirs to suck. Yay! :)
Uni with yam spaghetti. Creamy and silky.
King prawn salad with sweet corn, apples and greens, drizzled in wafu dressing
Grilled king crab legs with fresh gingko nuts
The crabmeat was so plump and sweet
Japanese wagyu beef
Miso marinated lamb chop
Tenderness in every bite
Fish head soup
Green tea ice cream, macopa, and the sweetest, juiciest Taiwan pineapple
Always happy after Mitsui! Thank you, Achi Cherry! :)
