I don't know why, but it feels like Christmas in this place :)
Food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. What you MUST come to Maple for are the pancakes!
Chili - a mild bean, beef and pork sausage chili soup served with sour cream and scallions
and jalapeño corn bread. My kind of comfort food.
Spaetzle Jambalaya - fresh spaetzle pasta with Jambalaya sauce topped with shrimps and
Chilean mussels
For those of you who don't know, this is what spaetzles look like :P
Prime Rib Tapa - marinated prime rib with garlic rice, eggs, tomato salsa and atchara.
This was some HUGE ASS tapa! And we ordered two! Tender but just a tad salty.
The next four dishes were quite a bore. Zzzzzzzzzzzz…..
Huervos Rancheros - a classic Mexican breakfast made with tortillas, refried beans, grilled chicken
and a sunny side up egg, topped with cheese and ranchero sauce
Fish Tacos - blackened white fish fillet, napa cabbage slaw, pico de gallo, queso fresco,
and chipotle aioli served with wheat tortilla
Blackened Chicken - chicken breast with spicy cajun rub, grilled and served with creamed
spinach, bacon, and dirty rice
The Maple Omelette - with button mushrooms, onions, red and green bell pepper, ham, bacon,
cheddar cheese, served with country fries and a slice of toasted baguette
What woke me up were these pillowy soft and fluffy stacks of pancakes topped with fruity, syrupy things. I wanted to bury my face in them (while chewing and swallowing them, of course!)
Blueberry and Cream Cheese Pancake Tower. YUM!!!
Banana Pecan Pancakes. YUM!!!
I think I love Maple's pancakes as much as I love my family! ♥ LOL!
