So happy to be back from one oven to another! :P
Spent the afternoon catching up with Mom over coffee and sweets, and then watched The Great Gatsby.
In the movie, Daisy said, "I hope she'll be a fool - that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful fool."

Isn't that what we all are.
We play dumb, we refuse to see and accept, we force relationships and pretend everything is perfectly okay when deep inside we know it will never be, because we do not want to deal with the truth that is staring right at our faces.
Because truth hurts.
Like this new and bigger number staring back at me from the weighing scale.
OUCH.
