I believe it's bad luck to end the night with a bad meal.
And the dinner I had at Les Ministeres was indescribably… ugh!
So I went for a second din-din to correct this wrong.
L'Avant Comptoir is a really tiny tapas and wine bar by the famous Le Comptoir.
It's conveniently located right next door to its big sister, too.
While at Le Comptoir you need to queue,
here at L'Avant you just need to push and squeeze yourself in
Warning: If you're claustrophobic, you might end up like this poor man on my right
To see the menu, just look up!
I had:
Tuna tataki which was boring and did nothing for my palate
Delicious carpaccio of veal with parmesan and olive oil
And this amazing terrine de boudin noir that made me forget the name of this blog!
The blood sausage pudding was so rich and possessed flavors so deep that I still
fantasize about it to this day.
Jin loves to what???
I also had:
Some of my neighbor's seared foie gras and roasted pepper skewer
and caramelized pork belly
And the real reason why he was having such a terrible headache:
Argh! This fat Chinese girl wouldn't quit stealing from my plate!!!
(B..bu..but he offered!)
Cheers to second chances, second dinners and big stomach space!
Like how I squeezed myself into L'Avant, I wiggled myself out with a happy and satisfied grin on my fatootski face.
At that very moment, life was full, and my tummy, super full. :)
