The Gardens of Versailles cover some 800 hectares of land in the classic French baroque style with meticulously manicured lawns, immaculate parterres, a grand canal, life-size sculptures and dramatic fountains that took 40 years to complete.
I walked some 400 hectares of it. Ha!
The gardens were beautiful, magnificent, exquisite and all that, but I also thought they felt kinda cold and artificial.
Until I stumbled upon this place oozing with love and warmth:
Bosquet du Dauphin serves waffles, crepes, sandwiches, paninis,
pastas and coffee
My banana nutella crepe and cappuccino
Didn't I tell you this place is oozing with love? :)
Don't look at me like that. That was my lunch!
Suddenly, the gardens seemed not so cold after all.
Must eat nutella crepe when you visit the gardens.
