Yay! Another new restaurant in Rockwell!
Woodfire's menu consists mainly of pizzas and handmade pastas, some salads,
a few appetizers, two soups... and no dessert (ACK!!!!!)
The Neopolitan-inspired pizzas are freshly made and baked in this brick oven fired with wood
Dalandan Juice and Elderberry-Grape Cooler
Rucola Salad - arugula, roasted beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, apple, balsamico
Pomodoro - fricelli, pomodoro sauce, basil, parmesan
Pappardelle - slow braised shortribs, gremolata
Caprino - goat cheese, leeks, garlic confit, bacon, egg
Fichi - figs, prosciutto, gorgonzola, leeks, arugula
There were a few hits and misses, but overall it was a good dinner. I enjoyed the salad, which came a bit late because they ran out of arugula and had to buy from the grocery. (Lol!) The pizzas had good crust and just the right amount of toppings. The pastas were flavorful but I wish they were al dente rather than soft.
I'm just happy there's a new addition to the Rockwell dining scene. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!
