After checking in my bags I still have an hour to spare before my Yung Kee century eggs (to-die-for!) are ready for pick up, so I thought I'd have a hurried but nice afternoon tea at TWG.
There's a pretty tea boutique on one side
And a handsome tea room on the other
The Tea Bible
OMGTWG's got over 1,000 single estate fine harvest teas and exclusive blends!
Each blend is assigned some sort of serial number, too. The more I read the description
of each selection, the more overwhelmed I get. I am confusion.
So I just asked the lady to give me their signature tea - the 1837 Black Tea.
"1837 Black is a unique blend of black tea with notes of fruits and flowers from the Bermuda Triangle
which leaves a lingering aftertaste of ripe berries, anise, and caramel. A timeless classic."
I loved it. I also added a little sugar because the sugar scooper was too cute to ignore. :)
These were the selection of cakes and pastries for the afternoon tea set. They all looked kinda sad.
Something merry christmassy from the boutique caught my attention.
Strawberry Mille-feuille with Matcha Green Tea.
It was flaky, yes, but the cream wasn't as matcha as I wanted it to be.
Still finished the whole thing though. Not a single crumb left.
Excited that TWG in Greenbelt 5 is opening tomorrow. :)
