Tsukiji Market
(See more about it in my previous post)
Has not only fishes
But also fresh fruits and veggies
Japanese beef
And all sorts of Japanese yummies like my favorite uni
I noticed the food stalls cater to a specific gender, like how this shop has an all-male clientele
This gyudon shop, too
And also this sushi (?) restaurant
This chirashi stall is where young Japanese ladies dine
And this is where the mamasans buy takeout food
This is my spot - Marutake 丸武
Bought a box of tamagoyaki because we love eggs!
Tamagoyaki translates to "grilled egg." It is really layers of rolled up Japanese omelette.
Marutake's version is sweet, warm, soft and eggy in all its golden glory.
Cut it up and popped the bite size pieces into our hungry mouths as we explored
the market and waited an hour in line for our Sushi Dai lunch
