"If all hearts were open and all desires known - as they would be if people showed their souls - how many gapings, sighings, clenched fists, knotted brows, broad grins, and red eyes should we see in the market-place!" - Thomas Hardy
Sad.
But true.
And sometimes the only people we can confide in is God and our loved ones who are watching us from above.
"Yesterday when I was at the cemetery I lighted incense and kept talking to Ama and Angkong telling them how sad I am. I asked them both to help me because I really want to spend my life with you... All day and night yesterday I kept thinking about you… Even when asleep it's all about you…" - Anonymous
"I am here. I love you. I don't care if you need to stay up crying all night long, I will stay with you. There's nothing you can ever do to lose my love. I will protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you." - Eat, Pray, Love
"Tai-kong, Tai-ma, Angkong, sana pumayat na ako." - jinlovestoeat
Such sad and honest pleas.
What did you pray for?
And what did you eat?
As every November 1, we had a nice vegetarian lunch at the cemetery, all home-cooked
by my Auntie Lily. Fake meats galore!
