I'm not a big big fan of macarons. I do enjoy the dainty little cream-filled cookie sandwich, but I'd pick a chunky whole cake over it any day.
But when that dainty little cookie is salted caramel flavored and covered in rich, dark chocolate… now THAT is a completely different story.

Okay, okay, I gave in to this blackberry macaron. Only because I felt like eating something purple.
I just finished a whole calf head at Le Garet about 25 minutes ago and will throw up if I have to eat any other color, so I bought sweet stuff to nibble on when the nights get lonely.
