Walking to lunch from a full morning (and tummy) at Cours Saleya, I passed by Place Massena and guess what I saw.
Military trucks, soldiers, rifles… EEEP!!!!!
I panicked a bit but started to relax when I saw the officers in uniform smiling, band playing music, tourists taking photos...
Turned out Nice was celebrating it's 68 years of liberation from the Nazi occupation.
A big reason for all these festivities!
I have the highest respect for men and women who serve and fight for what they believe in.
Hooray to freedom!
