Nolita ♥ ♥

 

"Can we have carbs?" I texted Chiz when we were scheduling our long-awaited dinner get-together.

(I've been reading everywhere about this place that serves true blue New York pizza by the slice and I wanted to try.)

"Sure! You pick the place."

(Pick the place? Ha!!! I was already picking out the different pizza slices I'm gonna order in Nolita!)

Nolita has that New York vibe which got me more excited about the pizzas

Plus it was packed on a Wednesday night. That's always a good sign.

We ended up trying these four slices:

The crust was nice and chewy and toppings were aplenty, but I felt there was something missing in the pizzas.

What I enjoyed eating more were these fried appetizers (hee hee!)

He said it was good. I am afraid of broccoli.

But I am not afraid of sweet ricotta cream oozing out from a crisp pastry shell sprinkled with
pistachio dust and candied orange peel. Chocolate chips inside, too! This was delightful.

The real highlight of the meal for me was this tall cup of Iced Chai Latte.
I love sweetish, milky drinks!

After the carb-loading affair, we moved to Harvest for some Hitachino White Ale and mojito.
