Alex and Wally had been wanting to try the steaks at The Fireplace for quite some time.
One Monday evening it finally happened.
We didn't even know there was a foie gras festival going on!
Life's sweet surprises. :)
Warm bread and superdelicious butter
My favorite, the Millionaire's Salad
Pan Seared Foie Gras
Honey glazed pineapple, organic green salad, balsamic vinaigrette
The two boys had US Angus Ribeye Steaks, 10 oz. each
I had the Trio of Duck which was good except for the over fried duck leg confit.
Crispy duck leg confit, pumpkin puree
Grilled duck breast, braised red cabbage
Pan-fried foie gras, green asparagus, port wine raspberry sauce
Midway through dinner, the exhaust went bonkers and we had to evacuate the restaurant
They brought us one level up
And we continued enjoying our dinner at The Music Bar
Alex, Me, Wally
They gave us complimentary apple juice for the boo-boo
And a free dessert of our choice, too.
I picked Chocolate Soup, of course!
The boys loved the songs playing at the bar so they went to grab the list off The Music Bar's iMac
While I stayed at the table and wiped off dessert.
Yum.
