We usually don't, but when my Virginia-based sister is in town, we eat Filipino.
Baked Cheesy Spinach and Banana Blossom Dip - creamy spinach, banana blossom,
mushrooms and cheese dip topped with roasted garlic and grated parmesan cheese. Yum.
KKK - short for Kare-Kare Klab. Oxtail, tripe and vegetables in a peanut flavored sauce.
Binukadkad na Pla-Pla - deep fried whole tilapia served with Pampanga style fermented rice
or balo-balo and fresh mustard leaves
Knockout Knuckles - crispy fried pork leg with original fried garlic chili oil.
A bit overfried today. For me, Bistro Remedios does this best.
Gising-Gising - tender kangkong stems cooked with shrimps and coconut milk
Garlic Rice - because no Filipino dinner is complete without it!
