I am sorry for the drastic 10-pound weight gain, but December gives me all the excuses in the world to feast.
The holiday rush makes me hungry more often than usual… Christmas songs make me so happy I just HAVE to grab that last piece of fudge brownie… sinful Christmas drinks that are available only this season… friends visiting from overseas… yummy food gifts… building up energy needed for Christmas shopping… fear of starvation while stuck in crazy December traffic… and the list goes on and on and on and on…
Plus no matter how much I eat, Santa Claus is still bigger than me.
Ho, ho, ho!
And my feasting partner this December?
Mom.
This is at Miyabi at Pan Pacific.
Okura Gomae – it’s just bundled up cold spinach in soy sauce. No biggie.
Hamachi Sashimi – thick and milky. I love hamachi.
Lapu Lapu Sashimi – chewy and veiny. I prefer this fish sliced very thinly.
Horenzo Ohitashi – mucoulicious!
Natto – I don’t really care for this but mom says it’s good for me
Unagi Tempura – next time I’ll order sans batter
Uni Men – the culprit for 3-day staycation at the hospital. Gave me gastroenteritis. Boo!
Hamachi Kabutoni – perfectly cooked. We suck the bones dry.
Tofu Steak – silky and tasty. I especially love the soft garlic slices.
Mixed Fried Rice – too oily for me
