The best way to enjoy shabu-shabu is in the comfort of your own home.
And this is how we do it in Auntie Juliet’s home.
You will need portable stoves, shabu-shabu pots, chopsticks, strainer ladles,
and trays and trays of food
Vegetables and sauce-making station
Lots and lots of meat, preferably beef
More beef (keep other trays in the chiller until ready to use)
Assorted balls, fish tofu and whatnots
And most importantly, a group of people who love to eat!
Jill, Teny, Monica, Me, Marcia, Danny, Uncle Nelson, baby Jenson, Auntie Juliet and Lola
Meat-filled ball and cheese-filled ball
My cousin Marcia playing around with her mozzarella ball
And of course, Maxim’s Devil Cake to cap off the meal. So light you don’t feel guilty at all.
