Sadly, I don’t quite remember anything from this dinner except:
The place is small but, in fairness, cozy.
The buffet table is set up all wrong.
Service is slow.
Food is cold.
We feel ripped off after settling the bill.
Fried Mozzarella Sticks – not too bad
Pumpkin Soup – unforgivably tasteless and watery
Pistachio-Crusted Chicken – extremely dry
Some paella – has that tap water taste
Luckily, the desserts fare better than the mains although still mediocre at best.
Gwama and her Mango Panna Cotta
We bring our own baon, Smarties Mini
Auntie Natalie gifts the dads with these loot bags containing all sorts of things like
personalized towels, whole loaves of bread, chocolates, candies, etc, etc.
Auntie Sabeth gifts them with toiletry kits from Debenhams
Jamie gifts them with super cute first aid pill boxes, the perfect defense for nagging wives
And Auntie Babie gives the best gift of all – ampaw!
Uncle Frank, Uncle Dennis, Dad, Uncle Rolly
Sorry, Dads, we’ll pick a better restaurant for 2012!
I see this quote on Kiss the Cook’s menu.
If this is the case, I’m never gonna be a satisfied woman in this restaurant. Waahhh!
