And who doesn’t know yet about Angel’s Kitchen? The homey, cozy place on Connecticut Street. I don’t go to the Greenhills area much, but when I do, it’s always Angel’s Kitchen.
There’s just something about the place that relaxes you. Food is reliable, tastes like home.
I love their liver pate. It’s complimentary. Ask for lots and lots.
I’ve tried many of the items on the menu, mostly signature dishes, and a few other ordinary ones such as…
Mushroom Cappuccino – which I find watery and bland
Pinakbet Rice with Lechon Kawali and Chocolate Bagoong Sauce – pork is dry and tough
Longaniza Bolognese – sweet and salty
Mandarin Chicken – tangy and orangey
Crispy Steamed Dory with Asparagus, Leeks, Shiitake Mushrooms – simple and healthy
After probably 6 visits, I’ve concluded my very own signature dishes.
So this is what my Angel’s Kitchen meal looks like.
I always start with a salad…
Soft Shell Crab with Mango Poppy Seed Dressing – crisp, crunchy, sweet and tangy
When I’m feeling meat…
Lamb Curry with Apple Raisin Chutney – rich and flavorful, always, always hits the spot
And when I’m feeling fish…
Parmesan and Caesar Glaze Dory – because you can never go wrong with cheese and bacon. Never.
Their coffee and desserts are okay, but not to-die-for.
But that is why there’s a UCC next door.
