I got news that Prince Albert has a new F&B Manager so I thought I’d come back and give it another try. The prime rib was quite disappointing last time, and I really have high hopes for it this time around.
Because if not, Jerms is gonna kill me.
This is, after all, his birthday treat.
Warm Duck Liver Salad with Shitake Mushrooms, Mango Crisp, Balsamic Drop and Raspberry Dressing – quite good but not great
Lobster Bisque and Cream with Grissini – rich, smoky and flavorful
Mushroom Cappuccino with Ginger Pumpkin Flan and Poppy Seeds Cracker –
could use more of that mushroom ooomph
Calamansi Sorbet to cleanse the palate
And then… (drumrolls)… the main attraction of the night
Roasted US Angus Prime Rib with Red Wine Sauce
I am happy to announce that tonight’s prime rib is better than last time albeit only slightly so. This one’s got quite a lot of litid, but at least they got the doneness right.
Baked Potato and Yorkshire Pudding
Some chocolate dessert which is not too memorable
Our bottle for the night, Chateau Lanscade Bordeaux 2006
In the end, Jerms did not kill me.
But after disclosing his age in this post, I have a feeling he’s gonna want to.
