You’ve seen this fellow a couple of times in my blog. I met him during our Scandinavia trip.
He is snobbish, aloof, stuck-up, and unsmiling.
And then I got the chance to know him.
Turns out he is a funny, very down-to-earth, no-nonsense guy. And he likes to make fun of other people. Can you imagine, he came up with nicknames for almost everyone in our tour group. Nicknames I am sure you would rather not know.
His name is Erwin and he calls his wife “tiyanak.”
But that’s okay because his wife Kristine calls him “mongoloid.”
Yes, they are sweet like that.
Tiyanak and Mongoloid got married last May 15. The reception was held at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La.

Despite the Parisian theme, food was Chinese.
After all, 88.168% of the guests were Chinese.

Braised Fresh Scallop with Crab Meat and Crab Roe Soup
Braised Sliced Abalone with Cucumber and Black Mushroom in Lettuce
Deep Fried Cod Fillet in Barbecue Sauce
Sautéed Beef with Asparagus in Taro Ring
Coconut Masachi and Sesame Buchi
… games, and a cute non-Chinese gentleman! Hehe!
Congratulations, Erwin and Kristine! May you bear many baby tiyanaks and baby mongoloids!
