It was almost midnight and still I could not stop thinking about food.
How fortunate that it was also Midnight Mercato’s opening night
The place was packed.
Spotted Rajo Laurel, Tessa Prieto-Valdez, Angel Aquino, and Pam of What We Wore with her husband John. I wanted to kick myself for forgetting to take a photo of Pam and what she wore.
But I did remember to take photos of what I ate.
Bratwurst on wheat bread – okay lah
Tokwa Special – tokwa too firm and the sauce too acidic
Great concept but not quite there yet
Will try her Valenciana next time
And my favorite of all, Resty’s Roast Beef Carving Station’s…
Roast beef sandwich – this is excellent! The meat is super tender, rich and flavorful.
Their roast beef is one of the best I’ve had in Manila.
I’d go back to Midnight Mercato just for this.
They also have chicken but I don’t know how it fares
Washed down the gluttony with BBQ Pitt’s iced tea. Vendor said it’s freshly brewed.
I thought I spotted aliens, too (he he)
My take home goodies: Nutsylicious’ pistachios, dried figs and walnuts
Midnight Mercato: 34th Street and 8th Avenue (across MC Home Depot), Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Manila, Philippines
