Balducci ♥ ♥ and Bar Dolci ♥ ♥ ♥

Sherylou lives in Cubao, Sheryl lives in New Manila, Jen lives in Pasig, and I live in Paranaque. So you see, impromptu dinners with my girlfriends, they almost never happen.

Almost.

Except for one Thursday night when Sheryl suddenly calls at 4pm and suggests dinner at 6:30pm.

OMG! OMG! This is exciting, spontaneous stuff!!! (You must forgive me, I’m a geek like that)

IMG_0276Insalata Rucola – I’ve always loved the bitter earthiness of arugula.
Tossed with gorgonzola, walnuts and fresh pear, this salad makes for a perfect start.

with truffle cream and prosciutto? This is LOVE.

After dinner at Balducci, we go for dessert at Bar Dolci.

Yes, because Bar Dolci rhymes beautifully with Balducci. (Me = Geek)

And because it is home to some of the best gelatos in Manila.
