After lunch at Tanabe, little snacks at the Bakery Fair, a huge cup of Frutti Froyo, we all agree that dinner should be a very light one.
Appies and salads. That is all we’re having.
Except for Alex. He wants steak.
Seared Tuna Tataki – pretty boring. Not pretty. Just boring.
Escargot Flambé Provençale – snails are tiny but they’re nice and buttery
Tessie Tomas Salad – looks a mess but tastes ok
Pan-Fried Foie Gras Salad – the liver is not top quality and the presentation makes me cry, but in fairness, we quite enjoy this dish.
Chef’s Quarter Steak (photo by Jill) – chewy stuff
Penne Carbonara – rich and tasty
Me, Jill, Liza and Alex at KUSE next door (Old Vine is full)
