This Japanese restaurant is supposed to be good. I’ve had dinner here a few times and found the food okay.
So I don’t know what happened to our lunch last Wednesday.
Each of us 3 orders the Miyabi lunch set. That’s our choice of main course, 2 mini appetizers, miso soup, and fruits/coffee.
These are the 6 mini appetizers:
Salad
Spicy Maguro – what, is Miyabi a Chinese restaurant now?
Maguro
Agedashi Tofu – sad, tasteless thing
Kimchi
Hiyayakko – it’s really just cold tofu
The main dishes:
Chicken Teriyaki – chicken is tender, but the flavor did not penetrate into the meat
Katsuju – pork is dry and tough
Katsu Curry – pork is dry and tough
Miso Soup – just okay, nothing to write home about
