Can you believe, this Chinese restaurant has a fully working website complete with menu, a Facebook page, and a Yahoo ID, too! (Add king.bee888 to chat with the King)
jinlovestoeat: hi king bee!
king.bee888: buzz… buzz… buzzzzzzz…
jinlovestoeat: so, how’s your day?
king.bee888: buzzz… buzzzz… buzz… buzzzzzzzzzz… buzz… buzzzzzz… buzz… buzzzzzzz…
jinlovestoeat: err… okay… bye!
But seriously, I am so impressed.
Look! King Bee is a Chinese Jollibee!
Function Room
(As usual, our family is the first to arrive)
How sad that they don’t give peanuts or picked vegetables.
We order a plate of Kropek which arrives bathed in oil. YIKES.
Steamed Shrimp Dumpling – skin is soft and the shrimp filling generous.
Pretty good stuff.
Pork Siomai – this one’s okay, too
Kuchay Dumplings – the skin is a bit thicker so I eat only the insides
Chicken Feet – not so good
Birthday Noodles – noodles are tasty but the liver pieces are not
Assorted Cold Cuts Combination – quite ordinary
Mapo Beancurd – isn’t this supposed to be a spicy dish?
Mixed Seafood with Polanchay Soup – I only have one spoonful
Salted & Spicy Spareribs – needs more salt and pepper
Cold Prawn Salad – tastes like gulaman
King Bee Fried Chicken – the meat is tender and skin nice and crisp.
Now if only the flavors had penetrated deep.
Steamed Lapu-lapu with Brown Sauce – acceptable
Our dessert/appetizer (too hungry, that’s why): Peachy Peachy from Arny-Dading’s.
Love the cheese.
Birthday cakes: Secret Oven Chocolate Cake, Homemade Carrot Cake Chocolate Carrot Cake, and Becky’s Kitchen Walnut Prune Cake
Our birthday girl.
Happy Sweet Sixteen, Dianne!
