Exactly a week after the bachelorette party, the same people (plus a few, minus a few) gather again for the wedding reception.
Stephanie, Sherleen, Burns/Bernard (not Bernie), Marc
Patrick, Julianne, Ilene, Me, Dainty
BBQ and Lu Shui Combination – everything is just ok, except for the braised wings
which are quite delicious (and I don’t even like that chicken part)
Steamed Suahe – sweet but a bit overcooked
Assorted Dried Seafood with Sharks Fin Soup – very prominent soy sauce taste
Peking Duck – meat could be softer, skin could be crispier. Still, I have two rolls.
Peking duck is still Peking duck!
Dried Scallop Melon Ring – the scallop is not as tender as I would’ve wanted,
but it’s pretty tasty stuff
Steamed Lapu-Lapu Village Style – no surprises here
Minced Duck Meat with Lettuce – ask the waiter! He takes away this plate before half the table has had a chance to try it.
CLINK, CLINK, CLINK! KISSING BREAK! I love between-dishes smooches.
Braised E-Fu Noodles Cantonese Style – needs more flavor
Egg Tart – the crust is too sweet, the tart is too small. Sorry, but I like them BIG.
Chrysanthemum and Coconut Jelly – light and delicious.
I can easily finish a whole plate of this.
Coconut, Lotus Seed and Purple Rice Soup – my favorite of all. SUPER ADDICTING.
The girls with the newlyweds. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Li!
